GLASSJAW Singer Taken Ill — Band Cancel European Tour

October 2, 2002

GLASSJAW have been forced to cancel their current European tour after singer Daryl Palumbo was taken ill.

Daryl has reportedly been suffering from Crohn's Disease for many years and was apparently stricken with a particularly strong episode of the condition while on tour in France.

Crohn's disease causes inflammation in the intestine and usually occurs in the lower part of the small intestine, but it can affect any part of the digestive tract. The inflammation extends deep into the lining of the affected organ and can cause pain and diarrhea.

"Daryl is expected to fully recover and be released from the hospital in a few days," said a spokesperson for the band. "Although it is uncomfortable and recurring, the disease is not life-threatening."

GLASSJAW's U.K. dates have reportedly been postponed until December.
